Standard Terms & Conditions

  • All cleaning materials and/or minor sundry equipment to be supplied by Advance Group Services (hereafter referred to as AGS) and are included within the monthly accounts unless other arrangements have been agreed or stipulated.
  • Should a request be made for our proposed weekly charges to include consumable items such as toilet rolls, refuse sacks etc, our client will be advised of the quantities which have been included within the weekly charge will be based on information given by the client.  Should subsequent usage of these products exceed the quantities which have been quoted AGS reserve the right to charge back any additional products as required.
  • Where consumable items are supplied and charged for AGS reserve the right to review costs in line with prevailing market conditions.
  • Accounts are strictly net and are payable in full and without any set off within 28 days.  The first invoice will be submitted on commencement of the contract.  If our contractual payment terms are not met AGS reserve the right to charge 2% interest on the total amount outstanding on a monthly basis and/or to terminate the contract without notice holding the client in breach of contract.
  • AGS reserve the right to review our weekly costs during each contract period should we be faced with unexpected price increases from our suppliers/insurers.
  • Where cleaning staff are employed by AGS we provide insurance under the Certificate of Employers Liability Insurance.  Where amendments to staff contractual terms/benefits are required due to changes in legislation or to the submission of incorrect employment details the client's consent to such additional charge must not unreasonably be withheld insofar as it is necessary to comply with any legal requirements.  Any statutory sick pay paid to the client staff will be chargeable to the client.
  • Pensions are not transferrable.  However, the facilities under the Stake Holder Pensions Regulations are available.
  • Should the client request the removal of cleaning personnel from site (for whatever reason) resulting in suspensions of staff whilst investigations are carried out any associated costs would be payable by the client.
  • In the event of staff absence the un-worked contract hours to be offset via onsite or additional AGS labour as overtime in order to prevent deterioration of standards.  The client is responsible for notifying AGS of any shortfall in hours within 3 month occurrence.  Failure to report within the specified period will result in an invalid claim.  The overtime to be worked at a time convenient to both AGS and the client.  Monetary credits will not be issued if AGS maintain service levels as indicated in point 10.
  • Service level indicators shall be used to record the level of service provided by AGS.  Assessment tools used to record performance level will be monitored regularly via the Customer Service Department.
  • In the event of all or any of the staff being or becoming whether during or upon termination of this contract redundant and being dismissed by AGS by reasons thereof and regardless of whether that dismissal is subsequently found to be fair or not then the client will fully indemnify us in respect of any redundancy compensation notice pay or pay in lieu or other payments which is paid or is obliged to the staff or any trade union by reason thereof.
  • Should cleaning standards fall below an acceptable level which is agreeable by both AGS and the client, a period of time deemed as reasonable must be given to allow for corrective action to be taken before our service is judged to be in violation of the contract.
  • Under no circumstances should our clients encroach upon cleaning staff that have been vetted and recruited by AGS.  Should it become apparent that this has taken place a penalty will be enforced by AGS to the relevant parties concerned.  The said contractual charge is equivalent to 12 weeks wages of relevant operative/s payable within 14 days.
  • Under the Health and Safety at work Act COSHH Related and Employee Protection Act we will require that you provide for use a lockable storage area adequate to house cleaning equipment and shelving for products and which does not place our staff or your staff at risk in any way.
  • The client will also indemnify AGS in respect of any awards (whether basic compensatory or additional) which may be made against us by reason of any action or omission of the client occurring prior to the commencement of the contract constituting or being found to constitute the unfair dismissal of any of the staff of the client employed prior to AGS commencement of the contract.
  • Goods in hire provided by AGS or suppliers to meet the customer's order then installed in the customer's premises become the responsibility of the customer and payment of compensation for any financial loss incurred through damage to or loss of the goods on hire
  • The client to be responsible for the security of the premises including the training of cleaning staff in the setting and deactivation of the burglar/security alarms.  If during the course of their duties any member of the cleaning staff should inadvertently activate the alarm then the client will agree to accept full responsibility and liability of any charges or incidents resulting from same.  The client will also agree to accept full responsibility for any loss of key/cards which may be provided for AGS staff to secure the premises.
  • This contract will last for an initial period of 12 calendar months and will automatically continue thereafter upon the same terms.  Termination of the contract can be implemented by either party with the issue of 90 days notice on the last day of the operating 12 month contract.
  • AGS reserves the right to recover the full contractual value for the relevant contractual period for any client breach of contract or termination prior to contract expiry.
